In Cpanel, a network administrator allows external web servers to access the MySQL database adding the names in the list of the hosts. Here the host or local host is the primary server on which the site is currently running. Find below are the steps to execute the process.

•     To access the MySQL Account Maintenance Menu, click on the icon above the words MySQL Databases on the main screen of your cPanel interface.
•     Type the name of the server into the blank field next to Host

    It should be in the following format: 192.168.1.1, server.com, mysql.servers.com etc.

•     Click on Add Host to allows that server to access your MySQL databases.
